Athletic Portraits
Greg loves creating fine art portrait commissions of young athletes. Although Greg’s photos capture the intensity of the moment, painting is a much more expressive medium. Greg works primarily in oils and pastels. Greg can also prepare a digital portrait commission that can be printed directly on canvas.
How it works
Greg will travel to one of your child’s events to take his reference images. If you like, Greg can also come to your house to take more formal pictures of your child in uniform. Once Greg has enough pictures, he will meet with you to talk about the painting and review the final reference image(s). After the meeting Greg will get to work on the painting. The paintings will usually take from 1 to 3 months to complete.
Pricing
Our fees start at $750 for a digital portrait commission and $1250 for a fine art oil painting. Contact us and we can discuss specific pricing for your athletic portrait commission.

That’s great! Greg will take a look at the photo to make sure that it’s a suitable reference. Usually Greg will still need to take some additional pictures to supplement your picture.
How dare you! Just kidding. Greg wants to make sure that all of his clients are pleased with his services. Although he puts in many hours on each of his paintings, he will work with you to make sure you are happy with the final product. Otherwise, Greg is happy to credit the commission fee (less materials) to a future photography session.
